Preta Gil morre aos 50 anos nos Estados Unidos.

Preta Gil dies at age 50 in the United States.

Segundo o site Metrópoles, na coluna Fábia Oliveira, Preta Gil, de 50 anos, desde quarta-feira, 16/07, passava por um tratamento contra o câncer, nos EUA, quando teve uma piora no seu quadro de saúde,  vindo a falecer, em casa,  neste domingo 20/07.  Ainda, segundo o site, Preta passou mal no momento em que fazia uma sessão de quimioterapia, na Clinica Norte Americana, e  após avaliação, os médicos diagnosticaram o crescimento da doença em outros órgãos, do corpo da cantora.

According to the Metrópoles website, in the Fábia Oliveira column, Preta Gil, 50 years old, since Wednesday, 16/07, was undergoing cancer treatment in the USA, when her health condition worsened, and she died at home this Sunday, 20/07. Still, according to the website, Preta became ill while undergoing a chemotherapy session at the North American Clinic, and after evaluation, doctors diagnosed the growth of the disease in other organs of the singer’s body.

Preta Gil, assim que descobiru a enfermidade, fez várias sessões de radioterapia e quimioterapia. No ano de 2024, no mês de agosto. Preta passou por uma intervenção cirúrgica onde removeu tumores, o quê infelizmente, após  novos exames, o cancêr se espalhou para outras regiões do corpo. A partir daí, ela retomou o tratamento, e sob um contínuo tratamento veio a falecer, em Nova York EUA.

Diagnosed with colorectal cancer in January 2023, a disease that attacks the colon and rectum, located in the large intestine. As soon as she discovered she had the disease, Preta Gil underwent several sessions of radiation and chemotherapy. In August 2024, Preta underwent surgery to remove tumors. Unfortunately, after further tests, the cancer had spread to other areas of her body. She subsequently resumed treatment and, under continued treatment, died in New York, USA.

Preta Gil teve como pais Gilberto Gil e Sandra Gadelha. Ela  deixa um filho, Francisco Gil, de 30 anos, do relacionamento com Otávio Muller. Francisco faz parte do grupo Gilsons, que faz do talento musical a marca do DNA da mãe e do seu avô Gilberto Gil.

Preta Gil’s parents were Gilberto Gil and Sandra Gadelha. She leaves behind a son, Francisco Gil, 30, from her relationship with Otávio Muller. Francisco is a member of the Gilsons group, whose musical talent is a hallmark of his mother’s and grandfather Gilberto Gil’s DNA.
